By Car From San José north on the panamerican Highway to Rio Tempisque. You cross the Tempisque River by ferry (the bridge is supposed to be ready in February 2002) , then drive to Nicoya and Sámara.
By Airplane There are two domestic airlines, Sansa, who leaves the domestic terminal of the International Airport Juan Santamaria daily at 7.20 am. And Travelair leaving from the domestic airport in Pavas. The flight takes 35 min. Tickets cost $ 66 aprox. per Person.
By Bus There is one direct bus per day from San José to Sámara by Empresa Alfaro. The bus station is called “Coca-Cola”-Station and the bus leaves at 12.30 pm. The ticket costs aprox. $ 6 and the ride takes 5 hours. There are also several connecting services via Nicoya or Liberia. In the season there might be even two or three direct busses.Please give us a call if you need to be picked up from the bus station or airport in Sámara.
