North Pacific
In this region you will find beaches of every type, texture and color. The province of Guanacaste makes up most of Costa Rica’s North Pacific, and is well known for its folklore, music, color and traditional food. In the province’s capital, Liberia, you will find an airport where you can arrive directly into the wonders of this sunkissed land. Great beaches for swimming and surfing, are a great way to complement the abundant ecosystems and habitats, filled with all kinds of wildlife and marine creatures. Sportsfishing is widely practiced and is renowned among experts. The most common fish species are the marlin, sword, dorado, tuna, wahoo, and the rooster. Beaches include Naranjo, Grande, Tamarindo, Langosta, Negra and Nosara. |
